Let's Have A Better Healthcare System!

Healthcare is one the major issues today. We need to have a better healthcare system because the one we have now is not acceptable to our U.S. citizens. They need to fix the pre existing medical problems, for example a small kid comes into a new insurance company and the little boy has cancer and the insurance company denies him, because that was a pre existing problem. It should not be like that, the government should make a law to stop the insurance companies from doing this. Citizens also shouldn’t be traveling thousands of miles just to get cheaper healthcare, such as surgeries and etc. now that’s really unacceptable it shouldn’t be like that everybody in this country should have healthcare, they should make it cheap enough where everybody in the U.S. could afford it. Over 6 million Texans are without healthcare. Also the elderly need help to they need to have more coverage on their medications, there also should be no limits on prescription fill they can have in one month, as long as it’s needed. We need to keep our priorities straight for are elderly in medical and also social security. Now I know there’s not a lot of our generation to help pay these elderly citizens. So the government needs to step in and help the elderly a lot more, because these $700 dollar checks aren’t enough for them to live off of, because some of them have their house to pay and other things and those checks aren’t just enough to live on.

Now the next president needs to address all of these topics. However he needs to change things up and make a better healthcare and also to have more care for our elderly.

Do we really want government in our personal Lives?

In this essay “Let's Have A Better Healthcare System!” the writer talks about how we need to have a better healthcare system, and the one we have now is unacceptable. I agree with this, but a governmental healthcare system is not the way. It will just lead to socialism and misery. In Canada a family doctor had no more openings for families, soon they had to draw a lottery to see who would have a family doctor. All the family’s names were in it who lived in the town. When an opening came up the nurse would draw a name, and that family would have a doctor. Canada has free healthcare paid for by the government. Now, is that what we want?
When our country was founded, did the government take care of the elderly? No the individual people of our country took care of them and charities. The elderly would be taken care of by their children, and if someone could not afford medical help the community would help them out. Just recently a couple, in the church I go to, had a son, he broke his leg and they couldn’t afford the surgery to get it fixed. Well when the church heard about it they took up money to pay for the surgery. Now he is running around like normal little boys should be.
Now I’m not saying we shouldn’t have healthcare, I’m just saying that the government is not required to, by the U.S. Constitution, and should not provide free healthcare for all the people. If the government did give out free money for healthcare, where would it come from? I will tell you, it comes from the tax payers. Right out of your pocket. The money which you worked for hours to earn.
Now if the people of America would step up and take care of their neighbors like they used to, everyone would be taken care of in a still free nation. We do not need government coming in and giving healthcare to everyone, that will just lead to more government control and less freedom. Let’s keep this the land where we still own our land and the government can’t take it away from us, where we still have the freedom to raise our children and instill in them what we believe, and where we still have the freedom to speak openly and not fear the government.
